The ImpactLab team saw that while community organisations do critical work, it’s hard to track your impact when you're resource-constrained, your work is complex and the difference you make isn't easily visible. So, in our first year, we rolled up our sleeves and worked alongside our first partner charities to create a user-friendly measurement approach linking in government, academic and community data.
Working closely with charities, funders and other impact organisations, we developed a standardised way to put a dollar value on social impact. This collaboration led to GoodMeasure, our flagship product that turns complex data into clear, actionable insights. By 2021, we had demonstrated that Social Return on Investment (SROI) could be measured consistently and comparably – setting a new benchmark for accountability and impact measurement.
With our methodology validated through hundreds of GoodMeasures, we took things to the next level – combining technology with expert analysis to scale our impact. ImpactPortal was born, giving organisations an easy way to gather data, track performance, and compare results. This phase made long term impact measurement informed by deep sector experience more accessible than ever before.
Today, we’re focused on continuous innovation – enhancing the ImpactPortal and expanding our product suite to meet the evolving needs of our partners. As the demand for transparent, data-driven decision-making grows, we’re here to help funders and organisations make an even bigger impact – ensuring decisions about how to invest time, money and strategic focus are informed by real impact data.
